Brecon Beacons — Wales, United Kingdom
01Foundation

Brecon Beacons

Temperate, rapidly changing; wind and low cloud common year-round
Recommended experience
Hill-walking fitness; no prior mountaineering required
Chemin de la Liberté — Pyrenees, France / Spain
02Intermediate

Chemin de la Liberté

Pyrenees, France / Spain

The historic WWII escape route across the high Pyrenees. Multi-day, self-supported, with sustained altitude gain and weight on the back. A test of endurance, route discipline and quiet resolve.

Scale
Up to ~2,500 m; multi-day cumulative ascent
Terrain
Mountain trails, scree and high passes; self-supported with pack
Conditions
Alpine summer; cold nights, exposed days, possible thunderstorms
Recommended experience
Proven multi-day hill fitness; comfortable carrying load over consecutive days
Kokoda Track — Papua New Guinea
03Demanding

Kokoda Track

Papua New Guinea

Steep, humid, jungle-bound and deeply meaningful. The Kokoda Track demands relentless cardiovascular work, foot care and psychological tenacity — and rewards it with one of the most profound expeditions in the world.

Terrain
Dense tropical jungle, mud, river crossings, root-bound climbs

Hot, humid, high rainfall; demanding on feet and recovery

Strong cardiovascular base and demonstrated multi-day endurance
Mount Kilimanjaro — Tanzania
04High Altitude

Mount Kilimanjaro

Tanzania

Africa's highest summit and the classic introduction to serious altitude. A multi-day push from rainforest through alpine desert to a glaciated crater rim — pacing, hydration and acclimatisation are the work, and the summit night the test.

Scale
Uhuru Peak 5,895 m
Terrain
Rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, glaciated crater rim
Conditions
Significant altitude; sub-zero summit night; non-technical
Recommended experience
Solid hill fitness; ideally one prior multi-day trek at altitude
Everest Base Camp — Khumbu, Nepal
05High Altitude

Everest Base Camp

Khumbu, Nepal

A serious high-altitude trek to the foot of the world's highest mountain. Acclimatisation strategy, hydration architecture and pacing become the work — the trek itself the reward.

Scale
Base Camp 5,364 m; Kala Patthar option 5,644 m
Terrain
Himalayan trails, suspension bridges, moraine
Conditions
Cold, dry, thin air; weather windows dictate pace
Recommended experience
Good general fitness; previous altitude exposure strongly preferred
Everest Summit — Khumbu, Nepal

The full expedition. Months of preparation, an honest assurance event, and a long, disciplined climb above 8,000 metres. Reserved for clients with the time, the body and the temperament for it.

Design Your Own

Anywhere — by arrangement

The challenge you've quietly carried for years — the one you've never had the time, the company, or the conviction to attempt. Perhaps it's physical: a long-distance swim, a parachute descent, a sub-aqua dive, an unsupported ride or climb. Perhaps it's a skill you've always wanted to test — boxing, martial arts, sailing or power boating, mountaineering, or a sharper edge of military craft. Perhaps it's not physical at all: a simulated Board-level negotiation, recast as a hostage scenario; or an interwoven challenge that braids several of the above into a single problem only you can unpick. HHPC's network and methodology exist to take you beyond your own expectations of yourself — with as much independence or accompaniment as you choose, and, if needed, an HHPC team member alongside you to the finish line. If you have an idea, or are intrigued but unsure, request a consultation.
